| This is not where breakdancing comes from. Everyone knows that breakdancing came from the streets of NYC and at the time African Americans and Puerto Ricans were mostly the only ones practicing it. This is just Russian trepak. Sorry to bursts your bubbles people. |

| The concept of dancing in a confrontational manner pre-dates civilization. When you think about it, many creatures in nature have 'dance-offs,' to solve territorial disputes, sort out pecking orders, and to obtain mates. Breakdancing as a style WAS invented in NYC, but the competitive aspect of it is nothing new. |
